Therapy Adopts a Classroom

Have you ever thought about adopting a classroom? Adopt-A-Classroom is a non-profit organization that directs 100% of all donations to the classroom teacher. The teacher is given full discretion to "purchase resources that meet the student needs and increase opportunity for classroom success." In 2009, Therapy donated a total of $6,800.00 to community classrooms--giving teachers the chance to purchase WWII books for 8th grade research papers, educational DVD's encouraging "learning by doing," and prisms for better understanding wavelength and frequency of light.

Through this program, our Adopt-A-Classroom teachers are able to send Therapy updates on purchases made with the donated amounts! Here is a note from one of our teachers:

"As we leave for the winter break, I realized how low I was on some supplies in the classroom. Knowing that I'll have new dry erase markers waiting for me when I get back is great! You never can have enough of them. Also, the binders and page protectors will help organize the business ads and promotion messages for this year's yearbook. Again, thank you for your generous support!"

After much anticipation, we are very excited to announce our newest feature to the Therapy website: our blog! You can look forward to many announcements on our new and hottest items and staff favorites, events in and around the stores, and get the first hint when we offer sales and special promotions.

Hopefully you're all familiar with our bundle of stores, but if you aren't, here's a bit of background to get you up to speed on what makes us love Therapy and why we're sure you will, too! This is now our 14th year and we've expanded our locations steadily, most recently opening a Therapy in Downtown Campbell, California. Despite our expansion, we’ve remained a company focused on our communities, providing contemporary and affordable fashions, accessories, furnishings and gift items with an unrivaled local flair and passion.

We now have 6 locations in total: San Francisco, in the heart of the Mission, where you’ll find two adjacent Therapy storefronts: our clothing store and our home furnishing store, perfect for dressing up the home as fabulously as you dress yourself! Burlingame is the next location you'll hit heading south, on Lorton Avenue, charmingly off the city's popular Burlingame Avenue which hosts a plethora of retailers and eateries. Downtown Mountain View is chock-full of young, urban up-and-coming spaces and cozy cafes, making our Castro Street Therapy an adored addition. For those not able to reach our Bay Area locations, not to fear! We love the Central California coastal breeze so much that we have a store conveniently close to the warm waterfront.
